Lake Winni Adventures

7.26.25

Spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee this summer was amazing. Every evening, I took my drone out to capture the lake’s breathtaking beauty, calm waters reflecting cotton candy skies, boats gliding through the golden hour, and the silhouette of distant mountains. One of the highlights was catching a glimpse of the iconic Mount Washington boat cruising across the lake, perfectly framed by the sunset.
The weather couldn’t have been better all week: clear skies, warm breezes, and just the right amount of light for droning. I explored different parts of the lake each day, from quiet coves to wide open stretches, and every flight brought a new perspective. There’s something special about seeing a familiar place from above; it gives you a whole new appreciation for the landscape.

My Lake Winnipesaukee drone series began back in 2021, when I posted my very first summer b-roll video on YouTube, and to my surprise, it reached 2.2K views. That moment lit a spark. I told myself then and there: I’m going to create a summer b-roll every year.

Since that first video, flying my drone over the lake has become one of my favorite summer traditions. This year, the weather was absolutely perfect, clear skies, warm sunsets, and still waters that made for smooth flights and stunning reflections. I explored the shoreline, chased golden light, and caught the Mount Washington boat cruising across the lake during golden hour.

There’s something about seeing Lake Winni from above that never gets old. Each year brings new angles, new memories, and new beauty to capture. I can’t wait to share what I saw this season, along with a few tips for flying in scenic spots like this one.
